The most glamorous part of the very glamorous 7th arrondissement, this is Paris at its picture-postcard best. Home to the Eiffel Tower and the stately Champs de Mars gardens, as well as the wonderful Quai Branley museum, this is also one of the city’s most desirable residential neighbourhoods. It’s rather upper class and, as Parisians say, bon chic bon genre (Sloaney or Preppy might be the closest Anglo-Saxon equivalents). So perhaps it’s a bit on the stuffy side too. But if you can afford to live here you’ll have a wonderful choice of luxurious apartments, as well as magnificent wide, tree-lined avenues and pedestrianised Seine-side quays to wander along.
