\nThe former studio of Claude Monet and his artist friend Fr\u00e9deric Bazille in Saint-Germain-des-Pr\u00e8s. It\u2019s here that in 1865 Monet painted one of his early masterpieces, Le D\u00e9jeuner sur l\u2019Herbe, the fragments of which can be seen not far away in the Mus\u00e9e d\u2019Orsay.
\nAt the same address as Monet\u2019s studio, but on the floor below, is the former atelier of Eug\u00e8ne Delacroix, celebrated for such iconic paintings as Liberty Leading the People. Delacroix worked here from 1863 until his death, and his studio is now a popular museum<\/a>. Monet and Bazille\u2019s quarters, meanwhile, have been transformed into a stunning loft.<\/p>\n
