From the 90ies, this district has been evolving to one of the most popular and “trendy” places of Paris due to its changes to be pedestrian. Fishmonger, butchers, pork butchers, cake shops and greengrocers are filling this street but there is a lack of green spaces. Even during its last coming to France the Queen went there to go for a walk. The Church Saint Eustache on the Etienne Marcel and Montmartre streets is surrounded by bars and clubs and trendy shops where all the Parisians go to on the weekend. At the beginning of the street, you also can find the Court of Miracles made world-famous by Victor Hugo who featured it in his Notre-Dame de Paris (1831).
