Essentially a historical walk in one of the oldest and best preserved areas of Paris, this takes you pas many remarkable 16th and 17th century hotels, places and museums. You will discover beautiful streets as well as trendy shops and bars. The Marais is once again the place to be. Gay community and high classes have moved in over the two decades. There are many cafes and restaurants in the Marais. The ones on Place des Vosges, under the arcades, are pictuaresque but not so cheap. There are tea rooms sometimes coupled with a book shop or an art gallery in Rue du Parc Royal and rue des Rosiers.
